Denim Daisies

 Hello, It’s been quite the roller coaster week back from spring break with a lot of wonderful highs and a scare or two from tornado sirens as we got back. I am finally cleared to go back to regular activity so I’m able to help out at the Y again. 🥰 Thank you to Andrea from  Momfessionals  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything  for hosting this sweet link party every Friday! 💛 This has really helped me on my gratitude goal and also on taking pictures of all these wonderful things to remember and love! Here are some favorites from this week: 1. Cuddles with my guys… and astrobot. Arnis and Jamie were super cuddly this week and the best helpers. They got all their homework done, played with their toys to make the coolest dinosaur hotels complete with room service from their play kitchen, put away their own dishes in the dishwasher without being asked!!!, and just wanted to snuggle a lot.  Hello, During the majority of spring break this year we stayed with my Aunt and Uncle in Port St Lucie and we’re able to spend quality time with them while also having some beautiful adventures for us and the kids involving friends of my Aunt who are registered and help with the Galapagos Tortoises by running a satellite location for them, going to the beach, spending time at the oceanographic center, and a day trip up to Disney springs to visit the T-Rex cafe.  Everything was absolutely amazing though spending time with the tortoises was probably my personal favorite. The boys all voted that they loved the beach the best! 🥰 The tortoises were so sweet and it was really awesome to have them “finch” by us rubbing their necks after their snacks. We took a quick trip to the beach on Tuesday to just “dip our toes” which meant Al three of my guys got soaked! 🤪 Jamie loved just looking out the window and watching the water and the palm trees as we drove.  Hello! We went to Port St Lucie for spring break, however we did this as a road trip there and back and got the chance to see some dear friends along the way. Our first day was driving to Southern Pines, NC. This is one of the places we lived when Sulev and I were active duty in the Army and it was the home that we brought Jamie home from the hospital and spent his first year while Sulev was a stay at home dad and I finished out my command time.  We stayed at the Jefferson Inn which was absolutely amazing though I’d recommend making any reservations by phone as their online booking is a little odd. And we saw Auntie B and her family, Granny Teresa and her son, Meemaw, and went to Red’s (an outdoor food truck/play area), and Betsy’s Crepes (always my favorite)! The boys did so well on the drive and the accommodations and food were 10/10. 🥰 Come back tomorrow for recap 2… the middle! 😉 💛Jess

 Hello, While the rest of the family went to Florida for spring break, Teddy and Belle stayed home with Biddy. Belle enjoys the company but Teddy wasn’t so sure about being left behind and so Biddy made sure to spoil him. The bestest boy got a freebie a day, two walks, a mini concert where he could sing with her every afternoon, and all the snuggles a guy could want. He found this acceptable.  No photos on his walks because you can’t take pictures on guard duty and he was on high alert to protect his Biddy from the scary neighbors who smile and love on him and the sketchy squirrels who kinda deserve it.  Next week we’ll go into Teddy’s new “fit” as his consolation prize for not getting to go to Disney Springs with the rest of the family. 💛Jess
