Someday Trip List

 Hello,

Getting closer to summer with the weather warming up makes me think about all the adventures that we have taken with the boys and all the ones that we want to do.

Sulev and I have talked about my taking Arnis on a weekend trip every year so we can ensure that he gets a one on one adventure and attention in a long form fashion though we make a point that each of our kids gets undivided attention from us every day.

Here are some locations that I want to take Arnis to:

- Chicago: dinosaur museum and Nutella cafe!

- Montana: dinosaur dig 

- Washington DC: aerospace and natural history museums

- NYC: just a really fun city that I never truly explored despite living close by for years

- San Juan: sea turtles and rain forest hikes 

- Texas: ranch and seeing friends

- California: LA for family and Disney, San Diego for the safari park

- Alaska: … home

That’s all for today! I’m sure I’ll add to this and even more sure that Arnis will as he gets older and makes his own decisions.

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. It’s going to get a bit deep and frankly I need to not process a lot for a little while and just focus on gratitude so that I can deal with the grief in my own way and time. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
