Friday Favorites: July week 3 2025

 Hello!

It was such a fun week in our normal summer schedule and it was so pleasant to reset and take some time to relax as well after a busy start to the summer.

Thank you to Andrea from Momfessionals and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything for hosting this sweet link party! 💛 I love linking up for this online event and it’s a good motivator for me to keep up with my gratitude journey and documenting so many favorite things throughout the year!


The boys took advantage of some old boxes and made a space suit and rocket ship. It made me so happy to see them so creative and collaborative.
Cinnamon croissant bread from Kroger as toast. It is so amazing and I cannot complement this enough!!!
Arnis is being my healthy guy with his egg whites and avocado toast for his preferred lunches. 😂
I was so overwhelmed by how sweet he is with his cuddlies. Kenai the bear needed his own den with a catering service for food and Arnis provided.
Despite a few attempted wrestling matches and some refereeing by me, they have played together so well this week. I snuck this picture in when they didn’t realize I was watching and it made me tear up a little.
And last but not least, Jamie set up a movie night for me while I was getting ready one day. It was the sweetest thing and he even made “pizza” aka bbq sauce on tortillas for our date. 🥹

It was so much fun with them this week and I’m looking forward to a few more of these slow weeks before the school year starts back up. It might mean some extra clean up games, but I will 100% support their creativity every day. 🥰

    Ahh! My girls used to love being creative with old boxes. It looks like the boys had great fun!
    That cinnamon croissant bread looks so good! Yum!

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. It’s going to get a bit deep and frankly I need to not process a lot for a little while and just focus on gratitude so that I can deal with the grief in my own way and time. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
