Friday Favorites: June Week 4

 Hello,

How are we almost through June?!?!? This summer is flying by and I’m so grateful for some many restful days mixed with fun activities with my guys!

Thank you to Andrea from Momfessionals and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything for hosting this sweet link party! 💛 I love linking up for this online event and it’s a good motivator for me to keep up with my gratitude journey and documenting so many favorite things throughout the year!


Here are some favorite memories from the past week:

1. Jamie loves Grandpa more than anyone in the world. Therefore spending time at the lake house with Grandpa is an absolute dream for him and we try to make it happen every year. 

2. Arnis has really gotten into video games lately but only wants to play with us which is fun bonding time during the hottest part of the day or for a little bit after dinner. 🥰
3. I don’t know if it’s because the floor is cool in the kitchen or they’re growing on each other but Teddy and Belle are spending more and more time together which is so sweet. 🥰
4. My parents have a whole basement set up for the kids including a play gym. This was so nice while we were caring for their house in the heat this week!
5. I made Shay from Mix and Match Mama’s blueberry lemon muffins with some of the last of our hand picked blueberries and they were so good!!!!
6. Arnis really loves a good sprayground. I can’t wait to check out the rest of them across the city this summer!

    Aww! It sounds like Jamie and his Grandpa have such a sweet relationship and how lovely to have that bonding time with Arnis.
    Oh wow! Your parents are amazing! The play gym is fantastic!!

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. It’s going to get a bit deep and frankly I need to not process a lot for a little while and just focus on gratitude so that I can deal with the grief in my own way and time. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
