Cincinnati Spraygrounds

 Hello,

This week has been extremely hot for temps here in the Midwest. It sounds like New England has it slight worse, but temps in the upper 90s will send anyone looking for ways to cool down.

Arnis and I have spent a lot of time in our little backyard pool this week, but the real win was yesterday. We went to our favorite public sprayground in Oakley and it was the best!

Cincinnati has a series of public pools that we will likely get a membership to next year, but they also have 9 sprayground that are completely free and so much fun!

I highly recommend this as a summer activity for kids and the Oakley one is fully fenced in which makes it easier for me to relax knowing that no one will see a squirrel and start sprinting for the parking lot. 😉

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. It’s going to get a bit deep and frankly I need to not process a lot for a little while and just focus on gratitude so that I can deal with the grief in my own way and time. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
