Friday Favorites: May Week 1

 Hello,

It’s officially May!!! I’m so excited for all the end of school festivities, the transition to our summer schedule, and all the grilling and warm weather outdoor activities!

As usual, I’m linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything to share some favorites and gratitude from this week! 


Here are some favorites from the week!


1. On Sunday we caught crawdads at the creek! 💛

2. We also took a few breaks walking through the park after school to play and do forward rolls.
3. Teddy really enjoys the increased outdoor time with our new fence up.
4. Belle was not happy to go to the vet, but she was so sweet and it’s a favorite that she’s a healthy almost 13 year old! 
5. I love seeing the boys play so much more with their toys as we’ve reduced the selection to make the decision of what to play with easier. 🥰

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. It’s going to get a bit deep and frankly I need to not process a lot for a little while and just focus on gratitude so that I can deal with the grief in my own way and time. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
