Teddy’s Take: Seat Belts

 Hello,

We finally found a seatbelt system that seems to work for our very large love bug. 🥰 It has been hard to take Teddy a lot of places due to his fear and reactivity, but I’ve made an effort to at least bring him on trips to pick up Sulev after work. Most seat belt options for dogs attach to the head rest and then you hook up to their collar which was not the right fit for a slightly nervous guy, I was just too worried about him strangling himself. A friend recommended we try using his harness with a seat belt that clips into the actual car and it seems to be the perfect fit for him. 

Teddy is able to sit in his third row seat and I hook him up with this belt and he’s comfortable, safe, and happy to be along for the ride. I’ll try to get some pictures of him wearing it this week, but pickup is always a bit of a scramble so we’ll see how long it takes me. 😅

Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
