Sunday Gratitude: Trail Walks

 


Hello,

It is a beautiful Sunday morning, we slept in until nearly 7!!!?!?!?!? And we are looking forward to church and spending some time outside today in the garden! 🥰

Since I’ve been cleared to resume working out and normal activity I’ve taken it a bit slower than I used to and am just trying to find what makes me truly happy. So far tennis with my boys, roller skiing, and hiking/weighted trail walks are at the top of my list. This week I shifted my schedule a little to give me about 30 minutes during the day to get out on a local trail for a couple of miles. I’ll add a weight vest or ruck to get some additional muscle engagement, but it just made me so happy and hearing the bird song, seeing the daffodils, and having such a beautiful trail pretty much to myself (there were some other people but we all seemed to be in the same mental space) was a dream come true. 


I’m so grateful for our city.
