Spring Break 3: The End

 Hello,

I did not take any pictures from the road trip home so this will be a short post today. We headed out early Saturday from Port St Lucie and drove to just north of Atlanta. There were a couple of short stops for bathroom breaks and coffee but mostly we powered through and everyone was feeling good. Good until we hit Atlanta traffic that added about two hours to our trip. 🙄

Once we finally got to our destination we met up with my sweet friend Louisa and her family for dinner and then went to a playground for all the kids to get some movement time. Once it got too dark we hugged and said goodbye and headed to our hotel for the night. It was a very well run holiday in that was a 10/10 for convenience and customer service. 

The next morning we headed out early for home and despite a little traffic made it home late afternoon. We were so happy to be in our own space and we relaxed a little after bringing our bags in. I had training that night so I had to head out for that after a couple of hours but other than that it was a chill night. 

Overall a wonderful trip and I’m happy to report that I finally finished unpacking. Probably only a once a year thing because the drive is long and the flights are a little $$$ especially around spring break, but we loved the experience and plan on going back next year!

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
