Teddy’s Puppy Hotel

Finding a solution for our fur babies has always been a bit nerve wracking for us. We want to make sure that they are loved and treated well while they’re away from us. This is especially challenging with a large pupper who gets scared easily.

Our first choice is when my mom is available to house sit. Teddy and Belle love her and it’s super simple. 



During the summer, however, she’s not available and so we found a pup hotel that works for him! 🥰 Chelsea’s is a training and boarding facility that works especially well for large dogs with a past and who need a little extra live. We are always nervous that Teddy might feel abandoned so it was such a relief when he walked right in, tail wagging, and greeted the man!?!? (Normally he’s nervous around stranger males) with a snuggle and a few kisses. 

We also know this will be good for him as every dog has their own private run so he’ll be able to socialize through the fence without feeling the need to protect his family. He is a social guy, but his protective instincts outweigh his social desires and so it’s hard for him to make four-legged friends.

We are truly happy with this experience for him! 🥰

 Hello! This has been quite the week, but there is so much to be grateful for. Let’s Look: How we work on our marriage

 Hello, I’m joining the party again this month, a big thank you to Shay from Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything  for setting this up and inviting us to share as well! 🥰 Grant and I are in a season of life that usually has our two little guys along for the ride. That means that we don’t have regular dinner dates or weekends away, but we find time that works in our schedule and season. 💛 1. Wednesday and Thursday Work Commute We are a one car family as we live in a city where parking isn’t always the easiest and we love the fact that it reduces our carbon impact and has the added bonus of allowing us to spend more time together. Grant takes public transportation to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but on Wednesday and Thursday he works from a different location that doesn’t have an obvious route so I drive him between the kids drop off and heading over to the zoo. Let’s Look: Our Wellness Routines

 Hello, I’m linking up again this month to join  Shay from  Mix and Match Mama  and Erika from  A Little Bit of Everything ’s link party for “Let’s Look”. I love that these topics are a glimpse into our normal, everyday life and it’ll be so much fun to look back years from now and remember what we were up to! My wellness routine these days is a lot less singularly focused on sprints or gym time and a lot more of a holistic approach so here we go!  Mind 1. I do a lesson of Duolingo Spanish every evening as part of my quiet time to keep this skill up. I’ve always loved learning languages and even tested in the Army as having a strong aptitude for this, this feels right to me. (I already speak French and my Arabic is still there albeit a little rusty, but if I want to ever do sea turtle conservation work I feel like Spanish might be the way to go. 🙂) 2.
