Friday Favorites: March Week 4

 Hello,

We’re on our last day of spring break and start our road trip back to Cincinnati early tomorrow. I’m so grateful for the memories that we’ve made and will make over the next couple of days. I’m also very excited to get home to our fur babies holding down the fort with Biddy (my mom’s grandma name).

Thank you to Andrea from Momfessionals and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything for hosting this sweet link party every Friday! 💛 This has really helped me on my gratitude goal and also on taking pictures of all these wonderful things to remember and love!

I’m going to do a full vacation recap next week, but here are some highlights that were favorites for us this week.

1. Sulev’s (my husband, aka Grant) and Arnis’s birthday. My Aunt and Uncle threw a party for them to celebrate and it was beyond sweet and very Dino themed which made a five year old (and 39 year old) boy very happy. 🥰

2. Seeing an alligator in the wild on day one. We love wildlife and seeing an alligator was top on our list. It was really special that on day one the little guy in the water calmly swam by while we were doing morning quiet time. I love seeing successful and peaceful coexistence for humans and wildlife and the boys just really love reptiles. 😉

3. The beach! The boys have been asking to go to the beach for months so we’ve been able to get there pretty much every day. This was the big dedicated beach day and they had a blast chasing waves and making sand castles! I had the easy job since I have one more week of avoiding being fully in the water and so it was sand castle super vision and snack guarding for mom while dad had fun jumping in the waves. 😎

4. Sulev and I have had some wonderful conversations and bonding this week and even got to just slowly drink our coffee on the lanai yesterday morning. Time spent with my guy will always be a favorite.

5. Family time. Auntie Jenna and Auntie Colette came up as well to spend time with all of us and the boys were thrilled!!! It was so wonderful to get to see them and we can’t wait to spend more time with them. I love having cousins that are the most amazing aunties to the boys. 🥰

6. Galapagos Tortoises. My Aunt has helped tortoise-babysit for some friends who run a sanctuary for Galapagos tortoises. It was an absolute highlight to be able to go and spend time with her animal and human friends and the boys absolutely loves getting to meet Horace, Quagmire, Seabiscuit, and Secretariat. Horace especially was my guy and was very happy to get a neck massage to encourage him to “finch” and then get some hibiscuses 🌺 from a very gentle and happy Arnis.

It has been such a memorable week and I’m so grateful to Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Chief (the boys’ name for my retired coast guard and army rescue diver Uncle). They have made this the most wonderful experience for all of us.

💛Jess
