Closet Spring Refresh

 Hello,

Our family does seasonal wardrobes and we change out in spring and fall for our warm and cold weather clothes to avoid overstuffing our closets. Grant and I each have a plastic bin in basement storage and the boys are growing enough that we typically have to buy the next size up for them for the following season. Thank goodness for Once Upon A Child! 😉

We love doing this because it feels like having a full shopping spree every change out for clothes that you know you’re going to like and it saves money and environmental impact. It also means that we are going through and touching every item in our closet multiple times a year and so we typically declutter every time we do this for pieces that just no longer work for our comfort/style or that might have worn out.

Grant and I agreed that we wanted to organize/make pretty our closet shelving space during this change out. We’ve talked about doing this since we moved in, but we like to take baby steps in home projects so as not to overwhelm ourselves.

Grant’s favorite color is blue, so I found some pretty and relatively inexpensive blue cloth storage baskets and we added those to the shelving area. The before and after photos are below and I LOVE it!

Thanks for stopping by!

💛Jess
