Newport Aquarium Day

 Hello,

We’ve had an exciting week and it’s a fun weekend as well. On Thursday, the preschool was out so Leo had a 1:1 day with me and we loved that time.

I asked him after what his favorite thing was and of course he said the aquarium, he loves getting to interact with the stingrays!

The aquarium is incredibly family friendly and there are lots of ways to the kids to interact with the wildlife there so that they can learn to love and enjoy all of the wonderful animals and learn about them and what they need.

The stingrays are, of course, our favorite and confession, we broke our “no spend week” by $4 so that Leo could give them a treat after he’d pet them for a while.

We also really love walking across the “shark bridge” where you can get a Birds Eye view of the largest habitat and all of the sharks, rays, sea turtles, and other marine life.

Leo and I are gold members so we can go during the times when Jamie is in school but the preschool is out. It’s really fun bonding time for us and the gold membership is especially nice because it includes five parking vouchers for the garage nearby. We used to park at friendship park and walk across the purple people bridge, but unfortunately it’s still under construction so we haven’t been able to do that this past year.

Newport itself is pretty cool, though a little on the touristy side so we tend to stick to the aquarium and then head out to the riverfront, Covington, or devou park.

That’s all for today. I loved having sushi a sweet time with my little guy and am looking forward to doing it again soon when Jamie starts his dance class nearby! 🥰

💛Jess
