Happy New Year 2025!!!

 Happy New Year!!!

It is 2025 and I am ready to get into it! I think that it will be a fun year for us as a family. We have a lot of fun things planned with a spring break trip for all the guys birthdays (Grant, Arnis, and Jamie are all within a couple of weeks surrounding spring break) and a summer 4th of July trip to the lake on top of wonderful camps, school fun, and the activities that fill our days with memories. There will definitely be some hard times and some disappointments. To be completely honest we miscarried three times last year which has been hard emotionally on me but we are so grateful for all the good things in our lives and know that God has a plan even if we don’t understand it.

That brings us to the word of the year this year and gratitude. Originally we had thought content again but talking with Dustin and Lisa for our annual New Year’s Eve meet up a few different words seemed more fitting like fulfilled and gratitude. I like gratitude the best because it gives an action every time I see it on our board to just pause and give thanks for what we do have and how fortunate we are.

Today is going to be a fun day filled with a New Year’s Day hike as is our tradition, some good food to feel good in our bodies, and a lot of family time as we get ready for a busy couple of months ahead. It was also wonderful to start off the day snuggling with my guys and doing my quiet time. I finished the Bible Recap for 2024 and intend to do it again this year with the study guide for deeper reflection. If you’re looking for a good we’ll-paced program, I can’t recommend this more. TLC is wonderful and it feels like an uplifting girlfriend chat about God to start off my mornings. ๐Ÿฅฐ

I also want to try to blog every day, we’ll see how that goes. Posts might be short with just a picture and a story or item of gratitude, but hopefully I can keep it up to have a wonderful online account at the end of 2025.

Lastly I intend to continue my time with the zoo and helping out the Y as a lifeguard while the boys are in school. These things are fulfilling more than draining and so I want to continue to invest my time in them.

That’s all for today! Enjoy the start to your year and see you back tomorrow!!!
