Trader Joe’s pre-winter break haul

 Hello,

The boys will officially be on winter break starting at 2pm today and so I am stocking up on goodies and bread and eggs. (Nutella sandwiches and avocado eggs are a couple of “always” foods for snack or to accompany a new meal that might not go over well so we go through A LOT when the kids are out of school.)

This picture contains my “fun” grocery shopping not necessarily the six loaves of bread and over 40 eggs now in our fridge to get us through a week.

The list of items with commentary: 🙂

Bananas: we make homemade oat milk every morning and Grant uses the oats for breakfast with bananas and honey, I like to choose these myself and not through pickup so they stay fresh

Vanilla granola: Grant asked if I could find some for his oats this morning so I went hunting. 🙂

Stollen crackers: these are really yummy for small charcuterie boards that we make for slow days and I love the pop of fruit flavor

Sparkling ginger beer: I’m just not into alcohol as much  and so this looked like a fun festive substitute for me while Grant has a mug of Gluvein

Popcorn: Arnis loves popcorn… winter break bribe vibes

Black truffle Alfredo sauce: seriously the best jar sauce I’ve ever tasted. I’m in love. It’s very creamy and cheesy though the rest of my family clearly has no taste and doesn’t appreciate this so it’s a mommy treat for sure

Holiday hash: butternut squash, onions, herbs, just all around great for eggs or with vegan cortisol on mashed potatoes

Port cheese: a new one for us for charcuterie, feels like a soft cheese… will let you know how it goes

Lunch salad and wrap: easier for meals when in training this weekend

Fiocchetti: Jamie and I love this pasta/sauce combo

Spanikopita: really tasty option that feels warm and cozy

Giant chocolate bars: last couple of teacher gifts 🙂

Vegan chorizo: we all love this, it’s lentil based and very flavorful. 10/10 recommend

That’s all for today!

💛Jess
