Weekend Fun

 Hello!


So this was a really fun weekend for the boys. We had our usual activities and had do do some change ups with some health stuff, but each boys got to have a sleepover with my parents and they LOVED it. I was still kinda happy though when they each wanted the other at bedtime and I love their close relationship even though I'm not a fan of the "let's chase each other around the house" game that mommy has to veto. Grant was also gone for the weekend for Army stuff so it was especially nice to take that time apart to do one on one time with each boy, though I always prefer to have Grant there, it's fun to find ways to make these times special as well.

Tonight is breakfast for dinner so we are making vegan sausage gravy with a vegan chorizo from TJ's and oatmilk and then vegetarian biscuits. The chorizo is AMAZING. I'll take some pictures to share tomorrow and I'll "church it up" with some extra veggies, namely sweet peppers.

Tomorrow is election day so Lisa and I will go and vote together and then Dustin and Grant will walk over together, then I've got the boys for the day so we might go hiking or maybe to the museum. I think hiking will win because it's going to be sunny and warm and frankly I like hiking and picnics better anyway so they get to put up with me. ;-)

This is an exercise we did in one of my classes for my Master's in Public Health (MPH) and I loved getting a real assessment and have done this calculation every year since then to see how we're doing. We started at a 14 as a household and have made it down to a 7 in the past three years by making some changes and being more conscious of the impact of our actions. EPA Carbon Footprint Calculator Essentially you just input your information to the best of your knowledge and this option from the EPA gives you the ability to "commit" to your goals for the coming year to see what effect you can have if you stick to them.
