What I learned: letting go a little more

 Today felt so great because we got back on our schedule which meant a fully regulated day and almost perfect bedtime routine. 

I also finally let go a little at the zoo and let Leo have my phone camera and had Jamie use his chair to help keep his heart rate down especially in this heat. Here’s Hippo Cove from Leo’s perspective. 🥰

I’m trying to get out of my head and not let people’s ignorance bother me (especially those who should really know better). It’s going to be a long hard road with that one but we’ve got the right people on our team and the best reasons for pushing ahead.

 Hey there! I'm Jess, a mom in Cincinnati Ohio, who is passionate about my family, doing my best to help the planet, and, hopefully, bringing a little positivity to the internet. Good News Thursday: Netflix Kids shows featuring conservation and ecological responsibility

 Good Morning! Both of my kids have about one to two hours of scheduled 'rest' time every day. This is my chance to do some chores that just aren't as safe or feasible with little helpers or frankly take a break myself so that I can remain patient and centered for them.  During this time, they can nap or look through books, we love I Spy, especially with letters or ocean animals, but sometimes when they're a little too excited and really need to be in separate rooms, I'll let Jamie watch a TV show while I'm trying to get Leo to sleep. (Leo just needs a little more than the average bear and while we've weaned off of 14-16 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period, he still needs minimum of 12 to be his happy self.) I've been pleasantly surprised to find that there are a lot of ecologically responsible kids shows on netflix and so here's a list of our favorites! 5.
